Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 1 cup water optional, for easier blending
  • 1 tbsp honey optional, for added sweetness
  • Ice cubes optional, for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pineapple: Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin, then cut out any remaining "eyes." Slice the pineapple into chunks.
  • Blend: Place the pineapple chunks in a blender. Add water if needed to help with blending. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Strain: Pour the blended pineapple through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl or jug to remove the pulp. Use a spoon to press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
  • Sweeten (Optional): If you prefer a sweeter juice, stir in the honey until dissolved.
  • Serve: Pour the freshly extracted pineapple juice into glasses over ice cubes, if desired. Enjoy immediately.
