Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe pomegranates
  • 1 tbsp honey optional, for added sweetness
  • Ice cubes optional, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Pomegranates: Cut the pomegranates in half. Hold one half over a bowl and gently tap the back with a spoon to release the seeds. Repeat with the other half. Remove any white membrane pieces that may have fallen in.
  • Blend the Seeds: Place the pomegranate seeds in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  • Strain the Juice: Pour the blended pomegranate mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or jug to remove the pulp. Use a spoon to press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
  • Sweeten (Optional): Stir in honey if you prefer a sweeter juice. Mix until the honey is fully dissolved.
  • Serve: Pour the freshly extracted pomegranate juice into glasses over ice cubes, if desired. Enjoy immediately for the best taste and nutritional benefits.
