Ingredients

  • 1 grass-fed steak, about 1-inch thick
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced

Preparation & Ingredient Tips

  1. Take the grass-fed steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow it to come to room temperature.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste, making sure to coat both sides.
  3. In a skillet or cast-iron pan, heat up the olive oil or avocado oil over medium-high heat until it’s shimmering.
  4. Add the sprig of rosemary and minced garlic to the pan, and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Remove the rosemary and garlic from the pan and set aside.
  6. Increase the heat to high and place the steak in the hot pan. Cook the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until a nice crust forms on the outside.
  7. Lower the heat to medium and add back the rosemary and garlic to the pan, and spoon the melted butter over the steak.
  8. Cook the steak for an additional 2-3 minutes for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
  9. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  10. Slice the steak against the grain and serve with the rosemary and garlic butter from the pan.

Enjoy your perfectly pan-seared grass-fed steak infused with rosemary and garlic!
